Pair Splitting Rules Under Basic Strategy
Aces and Eights represent the two pairs that should always be split no matter what card the dealer is showing. Never split Tens or Fives under any circumstances. Nines should be split against dealer upcards of 2 through 6, 8, and 9 but should stand against 7, 10, and Ace.
